The luxury carmaker BMW, is all set to launch the facelift of X3 SUV.  If media reports are to believed, the automaker will introduce the X3 in August. The facelift version first saw the daylight at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. It seems like the automaker is refreshing its premium SUV lineup as it recently launched the facelifted version of X5, while a couple of days back, the Bavarian manufacturer introduced its 7 series ActiveHybrid at a whopping price of INR 1.35 crore.

Coming back to X3 facelift, the SUV will sport newly designed rugged exterior with some resemblance to its bigger sibling X5. The SUV now gets bigger headlamps with optional LED headlights. Both the bumpers, front and rear, have gone under the hammer and they appear distinctly sporty. Additionally, wing mirror integrated turn indicators, new body colors and alloy wheel designs are a few other changes in the exteriors.

Under the hood, the car is powered by 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which churns a power of 187bhp in xDrive mode and 147bhp in sDrive mode. The engine transfers its power through a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. The company will bring the facelift version via CKD as it will be assembled in company’s Chennai plant.

Earlier it was expected that the company will bring the facelift version by early 2015, but seeing the increasing demand of premium SUVs in India, the automaker decided to launch X5 sooner than expected. Moreover, BMW will also bring its next generation M3 coupe named M4 soon in India.
