The German luxury automaker has showcased the Prologue piloted driving concept at the 2015 CES (Consumers Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. The Prologue piloted driving concept is basically an updated version of the Prologue concept shown last year at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Adding on this, the concept’s autonomous driving uses various assist features including laser scanner, radar sensors and ultrasound sensors along with numerous video cameras. The inputs from all these sources feed into its mind - and central controlled which Audi calls zFAS (zentrales Fahrerassistenzsteuergerät) enables the Prologue piloted driving concept to drive on its own!

Moreover, the updated concept vehicle also adopts a hybridized powertrain compared to its previous avatar. Speaking of the same, the gasoline part is a hefty 4.0-liter TFSI V8 petrol engine, coupled to an electric motor which is mated to an eight-speed e-tiptronic transmission. The vehicle features a 2.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The hybridized concept  chucks out 677 PS and a whooping  950 Nm of torque. This setup propels the Prologue piloted driving concept from naught to 100 kmph milestone in just 3.5 seconds. Moreover, the concept consumes 7.9 L/100 km while CO2 emissions are of 185 g/km.
