Audi A3 sedan to launch in 2014; CKD Q3 Could be priced at Rs. 25 lakh

Audi India recently becomes the number one luxury car maker, and celebrating the 1st anniversary of the company's cheapest offering Q3 SUV in the Indian car market. It is well known that the German car manufacturer is all set to start the local assembling of its one of the top selling product Q3, and now the Audi India's Managing Director Mr. Michael Perschke has put a price value of the CKD assembled Q3 crossover. The company plans to price the CKD Assembled Audi Q3 at around Rs. 25 lakh, which will be the least priced luxury car of the premium brand for the Indian buyers. For instance, the Audi Q3 comes as CBU route, and the CKD assembly of the vehicle is likely to start in the second half of 2013.

The price value seems to be an interesting one, and it will surely help the company to sustain its top position in the luxury car segment in India. The CKD assembled Audi Q3 is likely to remain the same, comes with the Quattro all-wheel drive layout, the 2.0-litre TDI turbo diesel engine that produces 170bhp and 350Nm of top torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, ensures smooth driving experience. However, the entry level Audi Q3 for the international markets comes with a 2-litre TDI engine developing 140bhp and 320Nm of torque, coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox, and a front wheel drive layout.

With the tag of Audi's cheapest offering, the company aims to attract more buyers, specially those who are looking for other luxury vehicles such as the Honda CR-V and the Mitsubishi Outlander. Moreover, Audi India plans to launch the A3 sedan by the 2014, which is expected to be the company's new entry level luxury car. The company might also launch the A3 Sportback. The A3 sedan has a 1.8-litre TSI engine that is capable of developing 160bhp, and a 2-litre TDI turbo diesel engine that churns out 140bhp of top power.
