7,252 units of Honda City Sold in November, Honda India Registers 64% Growth!

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) retails 15,263 units in November 2014 compared to 9,332 in the corresponding month last year. The overall growth of Japanese automaker is a whooping 64 percent! Honda India also inaugurated its 200th dealership this month and plans to increase more to reach out maximum customers across the country. 

Speaking of the Individual breakup, the Brio clan that includes - Brio hatch, Amaze compact sedan and Mobilio MPV recorded - 1,050, 3,310 and 3,589 respectively. Honda City regains its usual sales number - 7,252 after a couple of production-deficient months. Honda CR-V records 62 units last month. 

Speaking on the company’s overwhelming performance in the month of November, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “We continue to witness strong demand for all our products across markets. We are aggressively expanding our dealer network to reach out to more customers and recently we reached the milestone of 200 dealer network in the country.”

He further added, “During November, we began the second shift of production in Tapukara plant which has helped us in improving the availability of Honda City."

Adding on the City, starting of second shift at Tapukara seems to have greatly eased the availability of the sedan. The sales of the City dipped in the past couple of months due to shifting of production from NCR to Rajasthan.
