2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV spied

When Lamborghini launched the Aventador, automobile lovers were left salivating, and with news of an Aventador SV, we can just image what car aficionados globally would be anticipating. Yes, SV also called the Super Veloche (also known as Superfast in Italian) is a faster version of Lamborghini’s already fast supercars and one of these has been spotted testing on European roads.

The fact that there is an Aventador SV in the line-up means the lineage is going to continue for a while. The SV badge and all the tweaks that come with it give this Lamborghini an opportunity to share the ring with Ferrari’s exquisite F14 Berlinetta and the upcoming McLaren 675LT; which the Aventador did by occupying the blank spot on the platform with Ferrari’s La Ferrari and Porsche’s 918 Spyder hybrid.

Though the Aventador SV will strut around like its sibling - the Aventador, it will weigh less and have a much louder exhaust note. We can anticipate that there will be some chassis modification to store the extra horsepower that the car will be dishing out along with improving its handling capabilities a tab bit more.

The aerodynamics of the SV have certainly caught attention with the new front splitter, widened body air-intakes, scoops – above and inside ones and new air extractors which the Aventador didn’t possess. The rear looks less like a bumper and more like a grille, with a deep rear diffuser flanking quad exhaust pipes below; the SV version also gets a full width rear wing.

Judging from the spy pics the Aventador SV may also have some cool looking wheels with red bolts and quite a few mods on it which seem to be made of carbon fibre. This one may not come with all the creature comforts as one would want, but we assume it will compensate for it with it hard-core performance.

The current Aventador’s V12 engine makes 691 HP and 688Nm of torque, so the SV will make anything more mind numbing than this. Lamborghini may unveil the Aventador SV at the Geneva Motor Show in March, till then we wait to know what more will this SV dish out, and if it will make its way to India as well.
