2014 BMW X3 Launched at Rs 44.90 lakh

The German manufacturer BMW launched the facelift version of X3 at Rs 44,90,000 for X3 xDrive20d Expedition model while X3 xDrive20d xLine is priced at Rs 49,90,000. With the introduction of facelift version, the competition in premium SUV segment gets more furious. The new BMW X3 adorns exterior updates such as chrome grille, redesigned bigger twin-circular headlamps, revised front and rear bumper, new taillamp cluster and new sporty alloy wheel design.

The updated version also embraces new LED headlamps, power ORVMs with side blinker and new body colors. Though the overall dimension of X3 remains same, the updated model looks more stylish and sharper. The interiors are also redesigned as it gets new leather upholstery, piano black center console, new cupholders and automatic boot opener.

Mechanically, the SUV drops its peppier xDrive30d model. The X3 is now available with only one engine option- xDrive20d powered by a 2.0-litre, 1995cc engine which churns a maximum power of 184 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque.The X3 gets eco pro mode best suited for city driving while the sport and sport+ modes are used for highway driving. The sport modes make everything stiffer from the steering wheel to the suspension. The engine is coupled with offered with ZF eight-speed Steptronic transmission. Talking about the performance, the X3 facelift achieves 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h.
