The 2013 C-MAX Energi plug-in-hybrid minivan is expected to achieve nearly 20 miles which is close to 32kms on electricity. This is close to double of what Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid delivers. The 2013 C-Maxi Energi will be capable of a driving range of nearly 550 miles which is almost 885kms in one full tank of petrol.
The plug-in hybrid, powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine along with electric motor will produce a combined power of 188bhp. The price of this model is yet to be disclosed. The non-plug-in model of the C-MAX Hybrid, which is on sale in U.S.A, has a base price of $25995which is near about Rs. 14.38 Lakhs when converted to INR.
There are no comments about their plans in India with regards to the C-MAX Energi plug-in-hybrid minivan. However, currently Ford India has been in news for their recent launch of the Ford Classic Titanium and their upcoming Ford EcoSport
