Tata Nano 2009-2011

In terms of comfort and convenience Tata Nano is a car been manufactured keeping in mind that the car compartment offers enough space to the customer for his head and for his legs. Considering the fuel economy the vehicle (Tata Nano) has a very efficient engine, which offers rear-wheel drive to the car all in aluminum with its two cylinders being a 623 cc displacement offering with a power of 33ps. The engine is a multi-fuel injection petrol type. It is the first time the car is using a two-cylinder gasoline engine along with a balance shaft added to it. Design of Tata Nano is such that it maintains the weight under control, all there by maximizing the car's performance in terms of energy consumed, all in terms it delivers high fuel efficiency. As like other cars Tata Nano is also equipped with many safety requirements. Tata Nano has a steel body, made to provide a strong passenger compartment with many safety features which includes crumple zones, intrusion-resistant doors, seat belts, strong seats and anchorages, and the rear tailgate glass is attached to the body of the car. Tubeless tyres provide better control over the road while the vehicle is on the drive, thereby increasing the safety. The tailpipe emission of Tata Nano is equipped with many regulatory requirements, these equipped features in the car helps in reduces the pollution. It is estimated that Tata Nano has pollution level lower than the two-wheelers which are been manufactured in India. Fuel efficient model of the car proves that it is a car with very less CO2 emissions.
 
Tata Nano has been launched with five variants with both BSII and BSIII norms compliant variants. Its base variant is available in three colors Racing Red, Ivory White and Summer Blue. This base variant is available in the range of Rs 1.19 to Rs 1.26 lakh. This is quite strange that some of amazing colors of Tata Nano like Champagne Gold, Lunar Silver and Sunshine Yellow are not available in base model of Tata Nano. The price of CX model of Tata Nano starts from Rs 1.44 lakh (Ex showroom) while the price of LX model of Tata Nano is Rs. 177,092 (ex showroom). The top model of Tata Nano, Tata Nano Lx is available in three colors which are Champagne Gold, Lunar Silver and Sunshine Yellow. The medium Range model of Tata Nano, Tata Nano Cx is available in all six colors.

Tata Nano is available with five variants and its all five variants are available only with petrol engine option. Tata Nano is equipped with 0.6L, 624cc petrol engine that produces 35PS power and 48Nm torque. This engine delivers excellent mileage so that Tata Nano said to be the most fuel efficient car in Indian auto market. It offers mileage around 19kmpl at urban roads while on highway it gives 26kmpl mileage.

As we already mentioned that all five variants of Tata Nano are powered by 0.6L, 624cc, 2-cylinder, MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine with four speed manual gearbox. It is the first time in Indian auto industry when any car is powered by two cylinder engine. The 624cc power-plant of Tata Nano produces around 35PS power at 5250rpm and 48Nm of maximum torque at 2500~3500rpm. This small engine produces enough power to cross the mark of 100kmph with excellent fuel efficiency.

Tata Nano is available with six vibrant colors that are Racing Red, Champagne Gold, Summer Blue, Lunar Silver, Ivory White and Sunshine Yellow.

The 0.6L, 624cc, 2-cylinder, MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine of Tata Nano with four speed manual gearbox delivers sufficient power and torque so that the acceleration of this car is not so bad. This engine makes Tata Nano able to cross 100kmph mark in 29.7 seconds and it can touch the top speed mark of 106kmph.

Tata Nano is a low budget small hatchback car model. Its low cost doesn’t affect it overall exterior appearance. Tata Motors has done the great job at exteriors of Tata Nano and makes it the a stylish car like other premium small cars. Tata Nano is a four seater small hatchback model with a spacious passenger room. The exterior dimensions of Tata Nano are - its length is 3,099mm, width with ORVM 1,652mm, its height is 1,652mm and its wheelbase is 2,230mm with the ground clearance of 180mm and minimum turning radius of 4.0 meters.

Tata Nano is a low budget small hatchback model that Tata Motors made for a middle class family with low budget but despite this it offers styling features in it. Interior appearance of Tata Nano is very elegant with cool interiors. Its dual tone dashboard is packed with lots of new generation and with advanced instrument cluster which is placed at the center of the dashboard. Interior Measurements

From out side Tata Nano appears like much small hatchback car but from inside it has an ultra spacious and comfortable passenger room that has the seating capacity of four passengers. Tata Nano offers headroom of 93cm with the rear knee room of 80cm (max.) and 62cm (min.). The trunk volume of this car is 80/500 liters.

As we already mentioned that Tata Nano is powered by petrol engine which has the capacity of 0.6L, 624cc, 2-cylinder with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection System) and with four speed manual gearbox. This engine seems lower capacity but despite this it can produce maximum power of 35PS with the maximum torque of 48Nm that makes Tata Nano able to cross 100kmph mark without much noise and vibrations.

Tata Nano is equipped with the 4 B x 12 steel wheels with the radial tubeless tyres. The size of front tyres of Tata Nano is 135/70 R12 while its rear tyre size is 155/65 R12.

All four wheels of Tata Nano are equipped with Dual Circuit, Vertical Split operated by tandem master cylinder With Vacuum Booster. Its both front wheels are packed with 180mm dia drum brakes that de-accelerate the car sooner and increases safety measures. The front suspension of Tata Nano are Independent, Lower Wishbone, McPherson Strut with gas filled dampers while its rear suspension is by Independent, Semi Trailing arm with coil spring & gas filled shock absorbers. This advanced suspension system reduces the jerks at rough roads and enhances the handling of Tata Nano.

Despite its low cost, Tata Nano offers lots of safety features that ensures that driver and pedestrians are safe in it. The safety features that are available with Tata Nano includes Central Locking, Center High Mount Stop Lamp, Laminated Windshield, Door Lock on Driver and Passenger Side, Booster assisted brakes, Front & Rear Seat Belts, Additional body reinforcements, Intrusion beam, Radial Tubeless tyres, etc.

Audio system is not available with Tata Nano so if you need audio system with this car you have to pay some extra amount. To reduce its overall cost Tata Motors doesn’t offers audio system with Tata Nano.
