Maruti Versa

Designed to cater to the Indian joint family needs, Maruti Suzuki launched its multi-purpose vehicle Versa in 2001 with an excellent powertrain and ample space to carry a family of eight. Launched after Maruti Omni's success , the Versa has three variants: Standard 5-seater, DX1 8-seater, and DX2 8-seater. All the three variants are powered by the same 1.3L petrol engine, which is mounted below the driver's seat. While the Maruti Suzuki Versa puts its contemporary MPV styling lines on display, it is not a head-turner but very practical. Designed with price, power and functionality in mind, the Versa is value for money. It is slightly overpriced, but comes loaded with quality features. It is positioned in a slightly different category of MUVs and competes with diesel-powered vehicles like Tata Sumo and Chevrolet Tavera.
