Standing tall with just the petrol cavalry, the Japanese auto major did not have any diesel troop in its army so far. Even when the prominent auto world armies were recruiting diesel troops to win the sales war, Honda continued the fight the battle just with petrol troops. Interestingly as time passed by Honda realized its about time to adapt the market trend and now the Japanese is ready to introduce its first diesel artillery christened as ’ Honda Amaze’. After retreating Honda is back to claim the throne in the mid level sedan segment with Amaze, the sedan which is spawned on Brio hatch and will go against the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios, Renault Scala, Nissan Sunny. The sedan is powered with the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine and comes paired with a five-speed gearbox. The engine is extremely fine tuned with no noise disturbance in the exterior area whatsoever albeit the story inside the cabin is not so quiet. The wheelbase has gone longer by 60mm than Brio to provide more legroom space in the rear seat area. The Amaze’s total length is 3,990mm, width is 1,680mm and overall height is 1,500mm.
