Chevrolet Spark is a hatchback from the Chevrolet India to take on the market leader Maruti Suzuki. The car evolved from where the Daewoo Matiz left. There is nothing much but still this hatch has managed to look appealing and contemporary. The car attracts the onlooker by its compact design and very elegant and sport exterior; the exterior is eye catcher with its stylish headlights and round taillights. If compared to the Matiz the car has a 5mm longer wheelbase but still the length is same. The car is powered by a 1.0 L, 8V, SOHC Smart-Tec engine which is optimized with many advanced technologies like Sequential MPFI, Dual Distributor Less Ignition system, Motorized Throttle Intake System and advanced optical sensors. The engine produces a maximum power of 63bhp at the rate of 5400rpm and delivers a mileage around 13kmpl in the city and 16.9kmpl on the highway. Chevrolet hatchback is available in both conventional steel wheels and alloy wheels. The brake mechanism of the car includes the large ventilated disc brakes in the front and drum brakes at the rear. This hatchback also comes with active and passive safety features and comfort features.
