January 15, 2015: Datsun has launched its sub-4 meter station-wagon Go+ at an starting price of Rs 3.79 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base D variant. Company has offered a total of four variants. The 'D1' which is next to the base variant is priced at Rs 3.82, followed by 'A' variant at Rs 4.15 lac and top of the line 'T' variant at Rs 4.61 lac. The car is now India's first sub-4 meter station wagon which offers third row seats for passengers. Datsun has already started taking bookings for Go+ with a fully refundable amount of Rs.11,000. As for now, there is no direct competitor for this car.
February 28th, 2015: Honda Cars India has released the fourth instalment of the stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma’s spree with the Honda Mobilio . In this 4th commercial Kapil is entertaining a large family. Earlier after the launch, Honda added two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). Mobilio currently features a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O).
March 2, 2015 : This March, Toyota Kirloskar Motor India is offering Innova MPV with TGA - Toyota’s Genuine Accessories worth Rs. 25,000, in their Holi offer. The benefits offered are only for the diesel variants of the Toyota Innova and are applicable on deliveries taken till March 31st, 2015. Earlier on January 06, 2015, Toyota India has launched the updated 2015 Innova. The 2015 MPV now come with standard dual-front airbags (driver + passenger) along with added bling inside-out. The new Innova is available in the range of Rs. 10.51 lac and Rs. 15.80 lac (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Mechanically,it remain unaltered. Earlier in last month, Toyota Innova tops J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2014 Initial Quality Study (IQS). December 17, 2014: 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift was spied recently and it is expected that the company will launch the updated MPV early next year. Moreover, the Ertiga facelift is likely to get similar features like the recently updated Swift hatch, indeed it is based on the same. Prices are likely to go up. Earlier in this year, Maruti Suzuki had launched the limited edition version of the Ertiga at INR 6.76 lakh for Petrol model while the CNG and Diesel models are priced at INR 7.34 lakh and 8.05 lakh respectively. The Limited Edition features trendy Limited Edition body decals and graphics, Rear spoiler, New paint shade of Pearl Blaze blue. The interior showcases the wooden trim on instrument panel, reverse parking sensor with digital display. The engine specification of this Limited Edition is carried from the outgoing models.

December 5, 2014: Chevrolet India today announced a benefit of hefty INR 85,5000 on its Enjoy MPV. Competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the MPV comes with two engine options. Powering the diesel variants is the Fiat-sourced 77bhp-1.3-litre multi-jet diesel engine, while a 1.4-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor good for 104 Bhp powers the petrol variants.
October 27, 2014: Nissan India has launched the Special Variant of Evalia at Rs INR 11.61 Lac (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The MPV is now loaded with additional features and is positioned above the top of the line XV(O) variant. Nissan Evalia SV model gets all-new chrome front grille, 10-spoke alloy wheels, newly designed front bumper and integrated fog lamps. Inside the cabin, the MPV gets roof mounted AC vents in both second and third row, rear wiper, rear defogger, in-dash 2-din audio system with USB connectivity, captain seats, sliding windows and wood finish on dashboard. The engine specification remains the same.
April 10, 2014: Tata Motors has silently launched the much awaited facelift version of SUV Aria at Rs 9.95 lakh. The SUV is made available in three trim levels Pure 4X2, Pleasure 4X2 and Pride 4X4. The facelifted version features JBL Harman infotainment system, projector headlmaps, Dual AC with climate control to mention few. In terms of safety the car now includes ABS, EBD, six airbags, traction control and reverse camera. The SUV in-houses all new VARICOR 2.2 litre engine with new turbo charger that belts a maximum power of 148bhp and peak torque of 320Nm. The SUV delivers fuel economy of 15.05kmpl (ARAI certified).
October 7, 2013: Ashok Leyland has today rolled out the much awaited Stile MPV in India at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which marks the entry of Ashok Leyland into the passenger vehicle segment. Launched in both 7 and 8 seater configuration, Ashok Leyland Stile MPV has been launched in three variants- LE, LS and LX. The MPV will be available in 5 colours- white, silver, grey, red and black. The Stile powers the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder k9k diesel mill, which also does its duty to the Nissan Evalia, however, the engine has been tuned to return better fuel economy. It returns an impressive 19.5kmpl of mileage as against Evalia's 19.3kmpl.
Tata Venture has now been launched in Maharashtra today making this state the second market for this MPV after the tourist city, Rajasthan. The MPV has been priced at 4.07 lakh (ex showroom, Thane) . September 27, 2013 : Tata Motors has launched the new generation Xenon XT in South Africa. The vehicle has 4 different variants - Single Cab (4x4), Single Cab (4x4), Double Cab (4x2) and Double Cab (4x4). It comes equipped with various features such as navigation, Bluetooth, dual airbags, ABS, differential lock, and limited slip differential. The Tata Xenon XT is powered by a new generation 2.2-litre VTT DiCOR engine that develops 147bhp and 320Nm of top torque. It also features various comfort and entertainment options such as radio, MP3, bucket seats with armrests, tiltable steering column and others.
May 6, 2014 : Tata has launched an all-new multi-utility-vehicle Tata Movus. The entry level variant of Movus costs Rs 6.99 lakh ex-showroom capital region . The vehicle is powered by the 2.2 liter VARICOR engine that churns out 118.4bhp and 250Nm of maximum torque. The vehicle returns class leading fuel efficiency figures of 15.16kmpl certified by ARAI. The Movus features a new clutch system - 260 diameter Concentric Sleeve cylinder – Self actuating Clutch, which reduces the stress on the driver and make driving hassle free. The MUV offers 7-8 and 9 seating options with front-side and captain seating arrangement. The Movus comes in two color options Porcelain White and Meteor Silver and comes in two variant CX and LX.
June 24, 2014: Mercedes-Benz has launched a special edition of B-Class as Edition 1 with a price tag of Rs 28.75 lakh. The Edition 1 is only available in the diesel variant. The exterior gets Edition 1 stickers on the rocker along with a new set of alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, a sunroof is provided in addition to electrically adjustable front row seats. This limited edition also features rear seat entertainment. To improve the fuel efficiency, the power development has been tuned down to 108bhp. The car carries a 2.2-litre diesel engine coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch self-shifting transmission.
