June 17, 2015 : Datsun Go+ is now been offered with the driver side airbag in the top variant T (O) which is priced at Rs 4.81 lac (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi) . The company has updated the information on its website clearing any doubts and confusion. When contacted to dealers, they too confirmed that the booking for airbag models have started which raises the price for both models by around Rs. 15,000. The Go+ apart from driver side airbag continues to feature speed-sensitive wiper, body-colored bumpers, front power windows, USB charger, Mobile Docking Station (MDS) and central locking. Powering the Datsun Go+ is the 1.2-litre petrol engine which churns a maximum power of 68PS along with 104Nm of peak torque @ 4000 rpm. The MPV delivers a fuel economy of 20.6 kmpl.
June 22, 2015: Toyota has shed more details on the new GD series of turbo diesel engines which will pull the next-generation Innova and Fortuner. According to a report in May, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) will soon start trial production of diesel engines at their new production facility at the outskirts of Bengaluru, near Jigani (most probably this new GD series of oil burners). The commercial production of the engines will start by early 2016. Earlier in January, Toyota updated the Innova. The 2015 model MPV now come with standard dual front airbags (driver + passenger) along with added bling inside-out. This new model is available in the range of Rs. 10.51 lac and Rs. 15.80 lac (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Mechanically,it remain unaltered. Earlier in last month, it tops J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2014 Initial Quality Study (IQS). The country's undisputed top selling MPV holds the lowest PP100 (problems per 100 vehicles) among the segment sticking onto company's - QDR - Quality, Durability and Reliability.
December 17, 2014: 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift was spied recently and it is expected that the company will launch the updated MPV early next year. Moreover, its facelift version is likely to get similar features like the recently updated Swift hatch, indeed it is based on the same. Prices are likely to go up. Earlier in this year, MSIL had launched the limited edition version of this vehicle at INR 6.76 lakh for Petrol model, while the CNG and Diesel models are priced at INR 7.34 lakh and 8.05 lakh respectively. The Limited Edition features trendy Limited Edition body decals and graphics, Rear spoiler, New paint shade of Pearl Blaze blue. The interior showcases the wooden trim on instrument panel, reverse parking sensor with digital display. The engine specification of this Limited Edition is carried from the outgoing models.
June 15, 2015: Renault India has introduced Stepway version of the Lodgy MPV, it is available on the top-end variant of the MPV - RxZ (both 7 and 8 seat options). Also, this edition is only available with the 110 PS version of the 1.5-liter K9K dCi diesel. Speaking of the prices, this Stepway would be slightly costlier than the Lodgy RxZ 110PS 7 and 8 seater.
February 28, 2015: HCIL has released the fourth installment of the stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma’s spree with the Honda Mobilio . In this 4th commercial Kapil is entertaining a large family. Earlier after the launch, the car maker added two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). It currently features a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O).

It's roughly been two years since the Chevrolet launched its first MPV in Indian auto sector and it's high time to expect upgraded version from the General Motors subsidiary. Competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the MPV comes with two engine options. April 10, 2014: Tata Motors has silently launched the much awaited facelift version of SUV Aria at Rs 9.95 lakh. The SUV is made available in three trim levels Pure 4X2, Pleasure 4X2 and Pride 4X4. The facelifted version features JBL Harman infotainment system, projector headlamps, Dual AC with climate control to mention few. In terms of safety the car now includes ABS, EBD, six airbags, traction control and reverse camera. The SUV in-houses all new VARICOR 2.2 litre engine with new turbo charger that belts a maximum power of 148bhp and peak torque of 320Nm. The SUV delivers fuel economy of 15.05kmpl (ARAI certified).
October 7, 2013: Ashok Leyland has today rolled out the much awaited Stile MPV in India at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which marks the entry of this model series into the passenger vehicle segment. Launched in both 7 and 8 seater configuration, this MPV has been launched in three variants- LE, LS and LX. The MPV will be available in 5 colours- white, silver, grey, red and black. This vehicle powered by the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder k9k diesel mill, which also does its duty to the Nissan Evalia, however, the engine has been tuned to return better fuel economy. It returns an impressive 19.5kmpl of mileage as against Evalia's 19.3kmpl.
March 11, 2015: Mercedes-Benz today launched the facelift model of its already available B-Class in India.The refreshments given to this model adds sagacity to the its conventional styling with a number of new attributes resembling the new generation C-Class.
The facelift flaunts new front and rear bumpers, daytime running lamps with projectors while the tail lamps get LED elements. While facelifts are generally restricted to cosmetic bits, this company has tweaked a bit in that department too. It gets the same 2.1-litre diesel engine that also does duty under the bonnet of the CLA and GLA and produces 135 bhp of power and 300Nm of peak torque. The petrol variant however, still gets the petrol 1.6-litre unit which makes 121bhp.
October 27, 2014: Nissan India has launched the Special Variant of Evalia at Rs INR 11.61 Lac (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The MPV is now loaded with additional features and is positioned above the top of the line XV(O) variant. The SV model gets all-new chrome front grille, 10-spoke alloy wheels, newly designed front bumper and integrated fog lamps. Inside the cabin, the MPV gets roof mounted AC vents in both second and third row, rear wiper, rear defogger, in-dash 2-din audio system with USB connectivity, captain seats, sliding windows and wood finish on dashboard. The engine specification remains the same.
September 27, 2013 : Tata Motors has launched the new generation Xenon XT in South Africa. The vehicle has 4 different variants - Single Cab (4x4), Single Cab (4x4), Double Cab (4x2) and Double Cab (4x4). It comes equipped with various features such as navigation, Bluetooth, dual airbags, ABS, differential lock, and limited slip differential. This model series is powered by a new generation 2.2-litre VTT DiCOR engine that develops 147bhp and 320Nm of top torque. It also features various comfort and entertainment options such as radio, MP3, bucket seats with armrests, tiltable steering column and others.
April 17, 2015: Tata Motors, is planning to phase out its MUV Movus in coming months. The reason for this move is that the sales of this car have gone very low and also the company have to now focus on its latest lineup that include Zest, Bolt and the under-development Kite siblings. It is believed that currently the manufacturing of this model series is carried so as to clear the remaining inventory which is expected to be cleared by August.
