Audi marked its presence at the Auto Expo 2012 with utmost sincerity. The German auto major displayed its new sedan, Audi A3 e-Tron with great pomp and show. The Audi A3 e-Tron concept sedan was unveiled by the gorgeous Bollywood superstar, Katrina Kaif, which was the perfect choice by Audi India. this four-seater notchback sedan is said to be highly fuel efficient and the 4.0 litre of twin turbo V8 engine churns out great amount of power thereby providing a delightful driving experience to the owner. The exact launch date for the new concept sedan is not revealed yet and the price has also been kept under the hood.

Over 50 global brands participated in the 11^th Auto Expo, which was held in New Delhi. a whole range of new cars were introduced at the Auto Expo 2012 starting from the much awaited Ford EcoSport to India’s first ever supercar, DC Avanti which is likely to be priced between Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh. India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki showcased its new compact SUV concept, Maruti XA Alpha, whereas Hyundai launched the new version of its premium sedan, Sonata. Besides the cars, Auto Expo 2012 also witnessed the unveiling of various two-wheelers. On one hand, Honda launched its super cool bikes, while Yamaha showcased its concept scooter, which is expected to be launched in India this year only. 

The Auto Expo 2012 was a successful event altogether and over 50 global brands participated in the event. This platform was used very wisely by the carmakers and these champions of the auto industry showcased their much anticipated cars to the Indian consumers. The top five cars, which managed to steal the show includes the new Toyota Camry sedan, BMW Mini Cooper, India’s first supercar DC Avanti, the very luxurious Audi Q3 SUV and last but not the least, Ford EcoSport. The major highlight was the BMW Mini range of cars, which was both impressive and loaded with ample of high-tech features. The price tags of new car, BMW Mini starts from Rs. 25 lakh and goes up to Rs. 32 lakh.

The 11th Auto Expo was surely a delightful event. More than 50 global car brands showcased their vehicles and domestic companies like Maruti Suzuki India and Mahindra & Mahindra displayed its much anticipated projects. The major highlight was Maruti’s new MPV, Maruti Ertiga that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012. The car will hit the Indian roads by March 2012 and will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants. The price of this new MPV is expected to be between Rs. 7 to Rs. 9 lakhs. Another highlight was Mahindra Reva NXR, which is basically an electric vehicle. Mahindra and Mahindra opted for the ‘Go Green’ strategy with Reva NXR but the price is expected to be on the heavier side. Both these new cars seem to be intelligent and wise in their own sense and are likely to deliver huge success to their respective companies.

At the Auto Expo 2012, New Delhi, German auto giant, BMW finally launched its Mini car range in India. These new cars include Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S, Mini Cooper convertible. The car, which stole the entire show, was Mini Countryman. This cute looking car comes with a hefty price tag of Rs. 31.99 lakh. Mini Countryman is being considered as the costliest small car in India. The audience present at the Auto Expo 2012 gave Mini Countryman the honor of being the ‘most beautiful car in 11th Auto Expo’. Mini India is extremely excited as the response received by the car is impressive and mind-blowing.

Maruti Suzuki India is the largest carmaker in the country and offers value for money cars. Another value for money car is its new multipurpose vehicle, Maruti Ertiga. The car is launched in both diesel and petrol versions and will hit the roads by the month of March 2012. Maruti Ertiga is the production version of Maruti’s R-III concept that was showcased at the 10th Auto Expo. The car could easily fit seven adults and the engine delivers a decent mileage of 10 to 12 km per litre. The price of Maruti Ertiga will range from Rs. 7 lakh and will go up to Rs. 9 lakh.

Volkswagen is a well known name in the global car market, and at the Auto Expo 2012, the company made its presence felt by uneviling the revamped version of its Volkswagen Beetle hatch. Volkswagen has worked its heart out at this new car and made it look splendid, sleek and stylish. It might look small in size, but on the inside the car offers ample of room for the passengers and the luggage could be fit in with ease and comfort. The new Volkswagen Beetle will soon be launched in India.

At the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi, General Motors introduced Chevrolet’s new MPV concept with great proud. This multi purpose vehicle by General Motors is stunning in all ways. The exteriors are classy and come with sharp and clean-cut edges. The stretched out elongated headlamps catches the eye in a single glance. The wheel arches are beautifully shaped and fit in alloy wheels nicely. Being an MPV, it can adjust 7 adults with utmost comfort. At the same time Chevrolet MPV offers great amount of luggage storage space that would make it easier for the owner during long trips. The price details of the new MPV are kept under the hood for now.

One thing which completely zapped the onlookers at the 2010 Auto Expo was the presence of the majestic luxury cars at the event. These lucent luxury wagons were the head turners at the event and grabbed huge attention. The 2012 Auto Expo will soon be starting and the luxury car-makers are expected to once again create the same magic by displaying their new cars at the prestigious event.

Dilip Chhabria unveiled the new age design amid much fanfare and gloss. The awe-inspiring design based on the Audi chassis outshined the bollywood star Vivek Oberoi with its hot quotiont. The all new design has the 48-inch wheels which looks absolutely smashing.

Tata's , British subsidiary Jaguar launched the posh and stunning XJ sedan at the Auto Expo 2010. Priced at whopping Rs 90,41,908 (ex-showroom Delhi) the car comes in one variant only with 5.0 L V8 petrol AJ V8 GEN III engine affixed under the hood. The luxury sedan has received raving reviews in India.

The superstar of bollywood, King Khan, Shahrukh visited the Auto Expo at Paragati Maidan in Delhi in 2010. Shahrukh is the brand ambassador of Hyundai Motors.

Toyota unveiled its most successful compact sedan made explicitly for the domestic market, Etios at the 2010 Auto Expo. The sedan got immense appreciation from the onlookers. Etios gradually made its debut in December 2010 and clocked huge number of bookings. The company had introduced the sedan in petrol variant only, however this year in September the company rendered the diesel variant of the sedan in the Indian auto market.
